Something about putting on bowling shoes and heading to the lanes just puts a smile on my face! Did you know that the slippery surface of bowling shoes allows you to slide easily along the polished wood surface of the bowling lanes? It’s true! As you approach the lane to release the ball toward the pins, it’s important to be able to move very smoothly, so that your release is as controlled as possible thus the reason for alleys requiring “bowling shoes” – and I thought it was just to get an extra $10.00 out of me each time! .
